Walt Disney World’s busiest seasons are the summer months of July and August, as well as the year end holiday season from late November to early January. If however, you are on a budget, there is an ample choice of hotels very close to Disney, offering great service and many of the same amenities at a lower price. Before making reservations at any hotel near Disney, compare the amenities to other nearby hotels to ensure you get the best value for your money. Hotels in the vicinity of Disney World are located in the Lake Buena Vista area, also known as Downtown Disney, as well as along I-4, US 192, and International Drive.

Some of the more upscale hotels in the Disney area offering a luxurious stay and attractive amenities are: Gaylord Palms, Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, The Villas of Grand Cypress, Orlando World Center Marriott, and Celebrity Resorts at Lake Buena Vista.

Gaylord Palms boasts a 4-acre atrium under a glass dome that allows visitors to experience the Florida sunshine without wilting in the heat. Other outstanding amenities at this hotel include a kid’s station with all day activity plans, a spa, and a pool with cabanas. The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress presents, among other comforts, a golf academy, transportation to the parks, and a pool with waterslides. For a touch of elegance, the The Villas of Grand Cypress offers villas that have from one to four bedrooms set in plush golf greens with lakes and walking trails.

The Orlando World Center Marriott prides itself on the excellent golf packages offered to its guests, as well as its beautifully decorated rooms and full service spa. This hotel has two very popular restaurants; Hawk’s Landing Steakhouse and Grille, and Mikado Japanese Steakhouse.  The Celebrity Resorts at Lake Buena Vista is a great find for families because of its large suites which have full kitchens, living rooms, washer & dryer units, and can fit up to 10 people.  

The more budget friendly hotels, such as Springhill Suites - Marriott Village, Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista, Holiday Inn Sunspree, Nickelodeon Family Suites, Palomino Suites, and Staybridge Suites offer fewer amenities and consequently lower prices. The selling point for these hotels is their proximity to Disney World and their family oriented facilities, which depending on the hotel can include a kitchen, a nearby grocery store, kid’s activities and pool.
