If you're looking for a posh hotel with great amenities, and stellar service...don't stay here, BUT, if your expectations of a hotel room are working a.c., clean(if not out-dated) rooms, and a fantastic price, this place is for you. We don't vacation for a cushy hotel, but to go out for fun things to do, and come back to chill for a bit and then crash. Also, the proximity to the parks is fantastic, and you can get a ride over for free (saves $15 of parking a day) This is a great hotel for those who are watching their money, aren't snooty, and realistic about what you get for your money. I recommend it, and will stay there if the opportunity presents itself. Have a good time!!

Carpet is filthy (my children's feet got dirty after they had a shower). Carpet needs replaced. Missing tile on floor in bathroom. Holes in cracks in ceiling. Spread stained. Cheap small towels. Had to pay $2.25 a night extra for 'amenities' or 'reservation fees (they told us two different things between check in and check out clerks).

The location was great, right across the street from Universal Studios. The Hotel itself was pretty old and outdated looking, the rooms where very plain and old. But it was pretty clean and I would stay there again, the room rates were very good.
It was nice staying at a hotel close enough to walk to the park, that way I did not have to pay the $12 parking at Universal studios, and I did not have to wait for the hotel Shuttle, I could just walk across the street which was pretty nice.

This was the worst hotel stay of my life. The manager was very friendly, and helped my family change rooms three times because nothing was working in the rooms, and they came out of 1977 in respect to modern design. The sheets were thread-bare, and I have stayed in better hotels in the third world! We abandoned the second night in the hotel, because none of my party of six in three rooms could bare it any longer. I'm embarrassed for Days Inn and as a result will never recommend that hotel. It should be torn down and start from the beginning, because the location is choice.
