This will be a long review but is a must to inform others so they don't make the same mistake. We stayed at this resort on 2/20/09 - 2/23/02 after 7 days at Fort Wilderness in Disney. We booked because we wanted a place with a nice pool and room for our family of 6. The pictures showed that the place was what we had in mind. At check-in the lady was not friendly and only said about 5 words. She did not greet me or make our family feel welcome. When we got to our room which was on the 2nd floor with steep steps, we could not believe the quality and filth that we encountered. There were wood blinds broken, nasty dirty carpets, hand prints of smeared food on EVERY wall, the fridge was rusted inside and out, and the bathroom smelled of mold. I was ready to check out. I called the front desk and they were quick to give me a better room on the 1st floor. As we walked into the other room the lock on the door completely fell out . The room was cleaner but lacked TLC. Dust everywhere, bugs on the walls, blankets had stains on them and dead bugs in the carpet.I was still ready to check out but after the hour it took them to fix the door and the other hour trying to get our keys to work we decided to stay because the kids were tired and hungry. The next morning I woke to find hundreds of ants crawling all over the counter. We just came from Fort Wilderness where I never encountered a bug in our cabin. This was getting crazy and I called the front desk and they assured me they would spray while we were at Disney for the day. The next morning the same exact thing ants all over the counter. We decided to go for a swim in the pool which was much smaller than the photos suggested. My wife and I finally figured that the money that should have been spent to keep up the place was actually spent on the really wonderful, misleading photos. We spoke with other guests that were there and they were given the wrong room and had to keep getting new keys. Please do not stay at this resort. Yes the price is OK but the quality lacks in every-way. I'm sure there may be clean rooms at this resort but I had the liberty to see 2 and they were a pitiful excuse for a Beach Resort.<BR> Thank you for taking the time to read this.
