Surrounded by a challenging 45-hole golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus, the Villas of Grand Cypress beckons golf enthusiasts to enjoy its opulent accommodations and world-class on-site golfing opportunities. The Villas is one of a handful of distinct neighborhoods that share the outstanding amenities of the Grand Cypress Resort. In 1984, the Grand Cypress opened as a 750-room resort and a nine-hole golf course. The resort continued to grow until 1988, when it announced to the world that its golf course had grown to boast 45 holes of premier golfing. For non-golfers, many of the area's most popular tourist and theme park destinations are just minutes away from the hotel, including Disney World, SeaWorld, Universal Studios, the Orlando Convention Center, and the Orlando International Airport. As an added convenience, the hotel provides free shuttle service to all of Disney's area attractions. Although guests of the Villas can enjoy all of the resort's amenities, some of the immediate Villas amenities include 146 well-appointed rooms, 10,500 square feet of meeting and banquet space, and two restaurants. Activities that can be enjoyed while staying at the resort include golf instruction by the Grand Cypress Academy of Golf, horseback riding provided by the Grand Cypress Equestrian Center, or swimming and playing tennis at the resort's on-site facilities. Once back at one of the resort's private villas, guests will enjoy luxuriously decadent in-room amenities such as fully equipped kitchenettes, broadband Internet access, TVs with cable service, expansive minibars, fireplaces, and fully equipped bathrooms.
