Universal Orlando Resort offers a wide range of entertainment, on-site hotels, and nightlife. There are two theme parks, Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, a water park called Wet n Wild, and finally, a nighttime entertainment and shopping area named Citywalk. 

While Universal caters to families with children, most find the attractions here to be more pop culture oriented as well as more intense than Disney, making this resort especially suited to older children and teens. Universal Studios has film based rides and live performances, while Islands of Adventure offers roller coasters and thriller rides that get even the most seasoned adventurers' hearts pounding.

Universal also offers a wide variety of dining experiences for guests to choose from.  The Flexticket allows visitors to pay one price to visit the three Universal destinations as well as SeaWorld and Busch Gardens. It has become increasingly popular for families desiring to economize on park tickets without missing out on any of the fun. To add to the practicality, tickets bought online can be printed directly from your computer, eliminating ticket lines at the park entrance. 

Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure are open every day of the year starting at 9 am and closing at different times in the evening, depending on the day.

The main Universal hotels and resorts are: Universal's Portofino Bay, the Universal's Royal Pacific Resort, and the Universal's Hard Rock Hotel.  There are also a large number of hotels near Universal Studios that are Universal partners offering transportation benefits and discounts.

Directions: Universal is accessible just off I-4 at exits 75A and 74B. Follow the signs to Universal's main parking garage or to one of the resorts.
