The easiest beach to reach from the Orlando area, Indialantic Beach will please young and old alike. Offering good waves for playing in the surf and abundant fishing, the visitor will be assured a great day at the beach.
With good surf and a great atmosphere, Indialantic has long been a favorite of visitors and locals alike. The boardwalk has an old time beach appeal and the dining and shopping areas give the area a small town feel.
Restrooms, changing areas and showers are located periodically along A1A. The boardwalk has shopping and dining areas, and there are restaurants both on A1A and on the side streets.
In addition to swimming and sunbathing, Indialantic offers a good variety of small shops and restaurants. The town has several parks with picnic and playground areas, and boogie boards and surfboards can be rented at the local surf shop.
For an interesting departure from the beach, visit the Brevard Zoo. The zoo features over 120 species of animals in natural settings. The park connects the habitats of Latin America, Native Florida and Australia with shaded boardwalks. A hands on interactive learning area, petting zoo and playground are also available. To reach the zoo from Indialantic, travel west on Highway 192 to I-95. Take I-95 north to Wickham Road. Turn right onto Wickham Road and travel ¼ mile. The entrance to the zoo will be on your right hand side. The zoo is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Directions: Take Highway 192 East until you reach Highway A1A. Street and beach access parking are available along most of A1A.
