Recently acquired by the Ocala National Forest, Silver Glen Springs is slowing being allowed to revert to its natural state. First magnitude springs; 65 million gallons of water are pumped daily creating a large boil on the surface. Only one-half mile from Lake George, boaters particularly enjoy the area. Schools of striped bass and African tilapia are found in abundance, making the spring a favorite among snorkelers.

Directions: From Orlando, Take I-4 to Exit 54, SR-472. Take SR-472 west 2-5/10 miles to US-17. Take US-17 north 17-6/10 miles to FL-40. Turn left on FL-40 and travel 14-4/10 miles to SR-19. Turn right on SR-19 and travel 6 miles to the springs entrance.
